The United Reformed Church in Aberdeen has donated a painting to the OpenSpace Trust to mark the completion of the restoration of St Mary’s Chapel. The URC use the Chapel for their monthly services.

The painting, by the artist Elizabeth Gray-King, has the title of ‘Witness’. Elizabeth describes it as ‘A peaceful and curious gathering of disparate people, compelled to engage with light and energy in the midst of chaos and complexity’.

Come and see it for yourself – and also see the restored Chapel.

We are open during the Tall Ships visit (19-22 July) on the Saturday, Monday and Tuesday between 10 am and 4 pm. Entry is free, wardens will be present and can help you explore the Chapel or answer questions, refreshments will be available. Donations will always be welcome.
